For the first time in two years, Asia has a new Rainbow Six Esports champion. Sharper Esports claimed the APL Asia Stage 2 title following a dramatic playoff run, earning both the regional crown and a spot at the BLAST R6 Osaka Major.
Joining them in Japan will be runner-up Weibo Gaming, who secured Asia's second major qualification spot after placing second in the tournament.
Lower Bracket Revival and a Dramatic Comeback
Sharper Esports began their playoff campaign with a commanding 2-0 victory over Elevate. However, they suffered a setback in the Upper Bracket Final, losing 0-2 to Weibo Gaming. Pushed into the Lower Bracket Final, Sharper Esports battled back with a hard-fought 2-1 victory over Elevate once again to earn a rematch against Weibo Gaming in the Grand Final.
