First-Party Analytics

Our analytics stores a random visitor ID and session information in your browser's local storage. It records the following directly with Strave:

• Page views and navigation patterns
• Feature usage and engagement metrics
• Error tracking and performance monitoring
• Device and browser information

The visitor ID lets us count repeat visits across reloads and days. Sessions end after 30 minutes without recorded activity. Clearing Strave's browser storage removes these identifiers. If browser storage is unavailable, identifiers last only until the page is closed or reloaded. Signed-in activity can be associated with the user's Strave account. No third-party analytics provider is used.

Advertising Cookies

Esports pages and news articles show ads from Google AdSense. Google and its advertising partners can use cookies and similar identifiers to select and measure ads, limit how often an ad is shown, and detect fraud. Other Strave pages do not show ads.

• In the EEA, the UK, and Switzerland, Google shows a consent message first. Advertising cookies are stored only if you accept.
• If you refuse, Google shows limited or non-personalised ads.
• Advertising cookies and your consent choice are kept for up to 13 months.
