Golden Years: The Evil Genius Eulogy

por Gonzo φφκα21 de outubro de 2026Ir para os comentários

Just shy of nine years ago, Evil Geniuses would pick up the reigning Six Invitational champions from Continuum, setting the stage for one of the most memorable eras in Rainbow Six Siege history. In the years that followed, we would witness legendary battles against PENTA and G2, rivalries that have stood the test of time and helped define the early years of competitive Siege. Along the way, we'd fall in love with players like Canadian, a leader and competitor who, nearly a decade later, is still fighting for NA glory.

Looking back, maybe it never mattered that they could never quite close out those Grand Finals. Maybe it was never just about lifting the trophy. It was about the heartbreak of coming up short, the excitement of watching them fight their way back, and the hope that this would finally be their moment. Every near miss gave us another reason to believe, and every new event brought the promise of another unforgettable run. For fans like me, that was more than enough to keep coming back, year after year, tournament after tournament.

That's the thing about Siege esports: the memories we carry aren't always tied to championships. Sometimes, they're tied to the players we grew up watching, the rivalries we couldn't look away from, and the teams that made us fall in love with the game in the first place. And for nearly a decade, that passion has kept me coming back. If there's one thing I can say looking back, it's that I wouldn't trade those years for anything.
